Mandi & Shelley Walk for the Ones we Loved

My Activity Tracking

In memory of my beautiful mum

My best friend, my biggest support, the most important person in my life, my mum, lost her second battle with breast cancer on 27 February 2017. It is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, to wake up each day and do life without her by my side. She fought until the bitter end, and hung on for as long as she could, but now I deal with the reality each day that I will never see her again. I will never hug her again. I will never hear her voice again.

This 21km walk will be the most important thing I have ever done, walking in her name and in her honour in the hopes I can inspire others to join and donate whatever they can to the most significant cause - the fight against cancer. I hope that whatever is raised will go towards funding research, providing treatments, and medical support, in the hopes it can save another person and family facing the heartache and devastation I have.

I will walk alongside my very, very special future mother-in-law Mandi, who has also suffered the devastating results of this illness with the loss of her cherished Nan and dearest friend Lozy. I urge anyone and everyone to join us as we walk for the ones we loved, by donating and contributing to a truly remarkable cause!

In loving memory of my mum, Diana.
