Toddler Travels

With solo walks impacted by wet weather and the continuing curfew, my walks are currently supervised by my training coach - my 19 month old! It’s possibly a blessing in disguise that I keep forgetting to record our walks on Strava as toddler travels take a lot of time without covering any significant distance. We enjoy taking the time to stop to smell the flowers and pat all the dogs and wave at all the people. We usually end up with additional pet rocks at home too after each walk. Looking forward to more toddler travels and solo walks in the sunshine. 

Raising the bar

Many thanks to all those who have donated so far! With your support I’ve already reached my modest goal of raising $100 for cancer research, prevention and support. Time to raise the bar and aim for $250!  Next week I’m taking advantage of the opportunity to do some toddler free walks and challenging myself to see how far I can walk in 2 hours.

I’m taking on the 21km Walking Stars challenge this December – it’s going to be one special night to make a difference!

Did you know that 1 Victorian is diagnosed with cancer every 15 minutes? From the moment that person hears the words ‘you have cancer’, their life will never be the same again. The emotional, physical and financial toll of a cancer diagnosis is far reaching.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 people facing cancer will survive five years after their diagnosis. But there’s still so much work to be done.
