Walking for Christine Young, Remi vulich and Ngaire Holden.
I’m walking to help people facing cancer and remembering those that have lost their battles with cancer.
CANCER entered my life at a very young age when my beautiful grandma Christine young had cancer.
She was my shining star and my whole world no one knew how much I loved my grandma. I miss her so much and I hope she is looking down on me and proud of all that I have achieved.
My beautiful 8 year old sons friend passed away this year from osteo sarcoma, he was the most beautiful and loving little boy with the most incredible family behind him every step. Remi the Tigers won for you this year buddy and Tajjy misses you dearly
Another amazing women in my life was battling cancer Ngaire Holden we called her Gma Ngaire. Ngaire was the type of person that if you needed cheering up she was always the one to do it. She gave the best cuddles and respected you for you. She always gave the best advice and loved to laugh. Cruzy my middle child loved Ngaire and going around and making art with her or watering the garden and spending time with her. We say Grandma Ngaire is the brightest star in the sky and the owls at night. we miss you grandma Ngaire.
Im ALSO shining bright for people facing cancer and walking 21km over one weekend with Walking Stars.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
